What you'll be doing.

Job Summary:

This position is the primary interface between the Company and our client partners and is responsible for large client management, retention, organic growth, and serving as an internal expert for the travel industry. This position defines and guides strategic partnership development with key client partners. Responsible for developing key metrics for organic growth with existing client partners. Internally the position achieves results through effective partnerships with KAMs, Marketing, Product, Underwriting and Compliance, and Operations. The success of this role will be measured by achieving a minimum of 20% organic growth of existing clients. The focus of this position will be 90% new account acquisition and 10% existing account management/growth. This position requires 50-75% travel and ability to work in a virtual environment. This position works with all management levels across the organization and is a direct report to the Vice President, Travel Insurance Sales.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop senior level client contacts at top accounts
  • Identify and leverage strategic partnerships in the travel community
  • Ability to position our Travel Insurance offerings, understand our unique selling points, and overcome objections to our value proposition
  • Understand in depth the existing and potential markets and customers
  • Create a guidebook / play book / strategies for organic growth to identify optimization of processes, relationships and product offerings.
  • Measure organic growth through available reporting & Power BI
  • Identify new revenue opportunities and methods with partners and potential partners
  • Develop strategic account plans and marketing/promotional strategies to create organic growth
  • Analyze sales data in order to present monthly and quarterly business reviews with key stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively articulate the value proposition
  • Offer Trip Mate insurance solutions that meet the need of client partners including identifying gaps in product offering
  • Rely on our company's internal resources to improve client partner and prospect revenue generation
  • Develop strategy surrounding customer goals, business model, acquisitions, reduce attrition.
  • Establish a renewal strategy for all assigned accounts and ensures its flow and communication to all external and internal parties
  • Assist with company responses to RFPs
  • Responsible for maintaining knowledge about all assigned accounts and ensuring that organization wide client information is accurate
  • Understands and articulates travel insurance fundamentals and the various aspects of designing client plans, including plan design, underwriting elements, assistance services, claims processing, client compensation, etc. to the point that they can design a plan for various client partners
  • As needed creates and produces certificates, ads, marketing materials, PowerPoints and websites for clients
  • Preparing PowerPoints and holding training sessions for clients via webinar and/or in person
  • Oversees, coordinates and responds to email requests from clients, sales team or internal team members - claims issues/coverage questions/processes/exceptions, etc.
  • Proofs, tests, and assembles client websites, ensuring verbiage meets regulations and drives sales and revenue
  • Work with the Underwriting team on quotes, renewals, rate changes, etc.
  • Works with clients to obtain and maintain all required licensing
  • Works with colleagues to assist in obtaining required information for all new business calls/inquiries to Trip Mate
  • Other duties as assistance as requested

Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills:

Requirements:

  • Six years or more of proven sales and/or account management experience
  • Proven success in strategic selling, presenting and discussing solutions with C-level and other decision makers

Preferred:

  • Leisure travel market experience
  • Experience in the travel industry and/or travel insurance is strongly preferred. Business to Business sales experience with major accounts

Education/Certifications:

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Pay range: 90-120k/yr

Travel Requirements:

  • This position requires 50 travel and ability to work in a virtual environment.

When you'll be doing it.

While there is some flexibility in the hours, this position will be Monday-Friday during regular business hours (approximately 8:00am-5:00pm). Occasional overtime may be required according to business need.

Pay range: $90-120k
