Job Description
**This is a Full Time, salaried position at 40 hours per week located at Lake Forest Hospital for the Pain Medicine clinic. Schedule is Monday through Friday. Previous experience with pain medicine or interventional procedures in ambulatory setting is highly preferred.**

The Manager, Nurse is responsible for managing the clinical staff in the Practice, overseeing various clinical functions that impact patient care, patient flow, and patient satisfaction; and maintaining a solid understanding of all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. The Nurse Manager oversees the telephone triage function performed by the clinical staff and provides staff education related to clinical care and quality issues. This position will also have an active role in providing direct patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the clinical staff including telephone triage function, providing direction, inspiration and counseling
- Oversee various clinical functions that impact patient care, patient flow and patient satisfaction
- Oversee office-based procedures
- Provide staff education related to clinical care and quality issues to provide excellence in patient care
- Maintain solid understanding of all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements ensuring compliance
- Work closely with practice and physician leadership to ensure smooth and efficient operations in the practice in an environment that is both challenging and rewarding
- Consistently model the organization's philosophy of customer service
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
- Registered Professional Nurse license by State of Illinois.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR certification.
Preferred:
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in ambulatory care.
- Previous experience with pain medicine or interventional procedures in ambulatory setting.
