The College of Applied Sciences and Arts (ASA) at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking qualified applicants for an anticipated non-tenure-track faculty position within ASA's School of Allied Health's baccalaureate program in Radiologic Sciences beginning August 16, 2019. This is a renewable full-time term position.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach in the Radiologic Sciences as well as general allied health courses. This position will be expected to teach via online and traditional delivery methods.

Required Qualifications:
Credentialed in Radiography by the ARRT. This individual must have at least three years of work experience within the radiologic sciences. A Master's degree in education, health, or a related field is required. Valid driver's license is also required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Credentialed in Radiography with advanced credentials in the imaging/therapeutic sciences. Working experience within a JRCERT accredited program that documents teaching and supervisory experience with Radiologic Science students. The individual in this position must have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as organizational and technology skills.Doctorate degree preferred. For an individual holding a doctuoral degree, the appointment will be at the rank of Clincial Assistant Professor.

Responsibilities:
To provide direct classroom/laboratory/clinical instruction and office hours as assigned. To teach via online and traditional delivery methods. To provide indirect teaching, such as: student selection, coordination of clinical education, student advisement, recruitment, and retention for the program in Radiologic Sciences. Lift phantoms in a laboratory setting and drive to distant clinical education sites. To participate in all program duties as described in accreditation standards, which include program assessment activities. To participate in professional practice, seminars, or workshops necessary to maintain up-to-date skills in the radiologic sciences. Assist with student recruitment and retention activities and perform service duties as assigned. Some travel will be expected to meet workload assignment. Engage in other duties as determined by the Director of the School of Allied Health.
