IEc is seeking a full time Associate with a strong background in economics, econometrics, energy, or related field to work in our Cambridge office. The successful candidate will support our dynamic, cross-disciplinary work on topics such as natural resource damage assessment, regional economics modeling, energy analysis, program performance evaluation, and regulatory analysis.
Associates design and implement major analyses, interpret and communicate results, and recommend modifications to achieve project objectives. Associates often coordinate projects, interact with clients, and manage Research Analysts' tasks. Their work requires a high degree of initiative and creativity.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to speak and write effectively are required, as is familiarity with quantitative analytic methods applicable to the candidate’s field of study. Preferred skills include statistical analysis, microeconomics, and proficiency with Advanced Excel, including model development. Prior work organizing and analyzing complex datasets or conducting applied economic or regulatory analyses is beneficial.
