The Recovery Home Coordinator reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Under the direction/supervision of the BHS Manager of Substance Abuse, The Recovery Home Coordinator oversees the day-to-day activities at Discovery House, a recovery home for women.


  • Direct Care:
    • Facilitate new resident intake/orientation. Intervene, stabilize, and manage acute crisis situations.
    • Consult and work with an interdisciplinary team in reviewing cases and planning treatment/intervention.
    • Assess and evaluate resident needs, strengths, goals and resources.
    • Develop individual treatment/intervention plans for House residents. Implement individual treatment plans through services such as case management, advocacy, outreach, skills training groups, and counseling.
    • Monitor resident compliance with and enforce House rules and regulations on a daily basis.
    • Conduct random drug screening as needed/assigned.
    • Consult with other service agencies around case-specific and programmatic issues.
    • Refer and link residents to other human service programs and resources needed for recovery.
    • Serve as a liaison to other agencies and resources as needed.
    • Complete clinical documentation in support of services provided.
  • Administrative:
    • Maintain clinical records in accordance with policies and procedures.
    • Maintain statistics and reporting.
    • Maintain productivity.
    • Maintain UM/UR compliance.
    • Maintain documentation submission within 24 hours.
    • Track and maintain House needs (i.e. supply inventory) as appropriate.
    • Monitor and communicate maintenance needs as they arise.
    • Meet Agency clinical outcomes.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health required and eligible for MISA credentialing within 6 months of hire.
  • 40 hours of formal training plus one year of experience in the field of alcoholism/substance abuse.
  • Prior experience in a residential setting.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Ability to travel between multiple work sites.
  • Evening and weekend availability.
  • If Bachelor's level, must be eligible for certification as a MISA I or II within 6 months of hire.
  • If Master's level, must be eligible for certification as an Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC) within 6 months of hire.
  • Complete mandatory training and health system requirements.


  • Master's degree in Behavioral Health with IAODAPCA certification.
