Job Description Summary
The Total Rewards Consultant role is a key resource on the total rewards team specifically supporting the compensation and rewards & recognition programs. This role will support compensation processes and will have primary responsibility for market pricing, completing salary surveys, administering market data in the benchmarking system, and administering reward and recognition programs. In support of business needs, this role will provide consultation and guidance on market evaluations, job description reviews, offers, promotions, analysis, and ad hoc requests, through utilization of benchmarking technology.
Administration of the organization's rewards and recognition programs includes using set criteria for award approvals or rewrites, supporting frequent campaigns, monitoring engagement and ad-hoc analysis.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Compensation: Compensation inbox management, responses and tracking of requests
- Conduct market evaluations for new or modified jobs along with complete job description reviews
- Ensure consistent, equitable and market competitive delivery of compensation based on current guidelines for offers, promotions, salary adjustments, etc.
- Assist the compensation team with design and implementation of compensation policies, guidelines, and programs
- Assist with projects as assigned
- Support annual compensation planning process, as needed
- Effective compensation consulting to manager, leaders and HRBPs
- Ensures compliance with local and federal wage and employment laws
- Survey Participation and Benchmarking Technology: Assist in preparing information needed for participating in market surveys
- Assist in the annual market data refresh process
- Serves as a systems administrator for compensation market matching and job description management software
- Rewards & Recognition: Administer the organization's rewards and recognition programs on a day-to-day basis from owning the R&R email box, approving blue awards, and providing reporting and analytics.
- Support Rewards and Recognition campaigns and communications coordination.
Required Education, Certifications and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 or more years applicable compensation experience; 1 or more years consulting with managers, leaders and HR Business Partners
- Advanced Excel skills including formulas, lookups and pivot tables
- Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
- Strong written and oral communication and professional presentation skills
- Strong knowledge of human resources theory and practices
Preferred Education, Certifications and Experience
- Benchmarking and market research experience
- Job Description review experience
- Experience with Workday
- Experience with market pricing technology
- Background in the documentation of processes and procedures
- Customer service skills

- Work is generally performed in an office or remote setting.
