McMaster-Carr Supply Company
Since our start, 120 years ago, McMaster-Carr has worked to provide its customers with reliable, convenient service. Our organization is made up of professionals from a diverse background of experiences, most of whom have never worked in the industrial supply field but thrive in our dynamic setting.
This is a position for people who embrace learning and who have demonstrated professional, educational, or military achievement. Satisfying the demands of our customers requires collaboration, skilled communication, resourcefulness, and creativity. Good customer service arises from understanding our customers’ needs and our role in the marketplace, not rigid scripts for conversations or standard policies. Our colleagues in this role must maintain keen attention to detail to provide thoughtful solutions with efficiency.
During the course of the day, functions of this position may include:
- Answering product or order inquiries from our customers
- Responding to email correspondence in a timely manner
- Liaising with our suppliers to satisfy customer needs
- Researching new business opportunities for our marketing efforts
We want to support your achievement, so we invest significant time in your development. Prior to your department-specific training, you’ll spend one week learning about our industry, our company principles, and our approach to work so that you understand your role in our company.
You will work in an achievement-based environment where success is recognized and rewarded. Over time, successful colleagues will develop a broad understanding of our business and engage in increasingly challenging work as we adapt to things like advancing technologies for customers.
McMaster-Carr offers a generous wage and benefits package including:
- Company-paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision benefits
- 100% tuition reimbursement
- Company-funded retirement plan
- Work-life balance of a 40-hour work week.
