A career in Customer Solutions offers front-line involvement within the fast-paced, day-to-day McMaster-Carr operations. Our self-published website, and iPad app, and catalog are our primary sales tools and in Customer Solutions, you’ll be responsible for providing the excellent service and support we’re known for. You’ll quickly become the voice of McMaster-Carr, an advocate for our customers’ needs, and a problem solver for customers.

 

What We Are Looking For:

• Resourceful and curious individuals who are strong researchers and communicators

• Listeners who can understand why a customer is contacting us and provide them with a solution

• Flexibility to help our customers with any type of question or concern. For example, you will answer questions about a product on our website, a delivery option, or a customer’s bill

• Not your typical sales position; we don’t upsell, cold call or follow scripts. We want to help customers solve problems and leave them impressed with the experience

 

Qualifications:

• A 4-year degree from an accredited university, preferred

• Ability to identify problems and offer alternative courses of action based on available resources

• A demonstrated commitment to providing superior customer service

• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey information clearly and concisely

• Dependable, detail-oriented performance
