Overview
Leads the pharmaceutical value work by
1) synthesizing data to conduct budget impact, analyze costeffectiveness and author value assessments across therapeutic areas and pharmacy related programs
2)integrating economic methods into clinical evidence assessment in a timely manner. Works closely with Pharmacy Management team in supporting pharmaceutical leadership, strategic positioning, and external representation activities for BCBS pharmacy strategic initiatives.
Leads and supports projects such as economic modeling development and supporting value-based outcomes execution on behalf of BCBS Plans.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Analyzing data, develop modeling and author of economic and value-based
- Support the development ofvalue-based contracts (e.g., Outcomes-Based) in collaboration with key internal BCBSA stakeholders.
- Manage and support pharmacy strategy projects to develop solutions that strengthen the prestige, credibility, and competitive position of the BCBS System.
Qualifications
Required Basic Qualifications:
- PhD in Pharmacoeconomics or related fields
- Minimum of seven years research and/or experience in researching, analyzing, and presenting pharmacoeconomic analyses.
Preferred Basic Qualifications:
- Managed Care, consulting or related experience involving pharmaceutical economic modeling and analyses.
- Experienced presentation skills to facilitate the review and understanding of materials.
