Plans full truck and LTL (less than truck load) outgoing freight based on customer specific routing requirements. Coordinates finished goods inventory to maximize truck usage. Provides support to Customer Service and customers that each work with. Provides report to internal customers such as Customer Service and responsible for Customer Service interface. Duties may include:

  • Adhere to all safety rules and guidelines in the facility
  • Participate in quality audits for all activities in our fulfillment operation (picking, packing, shipping, returns, and receiving)
  • Review SOPs and propose changes in response to customer concerns.
  • Work in tandem with internal customer service team to resolve customer concerns in a timely and effective manner
  • Assist with order planning (wave planning) to ensure the operation has work volume available
  • Maintaining records of goods received and damaged goods. May work with the Inventory team to make appropriate adjustments and communicate changes to the customer
  • May perform activities related to load verification of outbound trucks to meet customer delivery requirements and cost parameters.
  • May utilize small hand tools and operates material handling equipment including skids, pallet handlers, hand trucks, etc. to stage materials and load trucks.
  • Assists with reporting of vendor compliance requirements on specific, high profile accounts
  • Maintain and research customer complaints
  • Participate in regular quality review meetings with management staff.
  • May verify packing methods for goods for shipment according to specifications, equipment characteristics, transportation methods and routes.
  • May assist with production planning and special projects and other tasks as assigned.

  • Communication skills, both oral and written, are essential.
  • Ability to read, understand and implement job instructions in English such as DIs, AITs, or other shipping instructions.
  • Proficient Excel, Word, Gmail, and COMN skills.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics in material movement and count control.
  • Ability to perform duties with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers/internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to maintain extreme focus on job duties and strong attention to detail is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Prior work experience in a shipping and receiving position preferred but not required.
