Accurately prepares sterile preparations in compliance with USP 797 guidelines. Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations in order to confirm correct amount of medication. Picks supplies to fill patient orders per delivery ticket. Works within an electronic medical record and electronic prescription processing platform, in addition to other electronic programs. Arranges timely delivery to patient's home while working with in-house and third party couriers. Confirms delivery tickets once they have been returned to Pharmacy. Assists in medication procurement, storage, and inventory management along with verifying the accuracy of products received and price reconciliation against invoices. Identifying and reporting medication related incidents and equipment failures. If indicated, may be expected to complete an unusual occurrence report. Active participant in pertinent team meetings and huddles. Provides high-quality customer service to patients, vendors, and members of the healthcare team. Calibrates equipment such as the cleanroom infusion pump. Assists with recording and maintaining pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs into authorized software. Ensures that all pertinent pharmacy surfaces/areas are cleaned per standard operating procedures. Participates in scheduled on-call responsibilities as needed. Participates in annual professional competencies.

Required: Active IL Pharmacy Technician License (in good standing).
1 year home infusion or inpatient hospital pharmacy technician experience.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Eligible for Pharmacy Technician Certification within 6 months of hire date.

Desired: 3 years home infusion or inpatient hospital experience.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
