Southeast Gas has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Manager based out of its Corporate office located in Andalusia, Alabama. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of human resources, including evaluating applicants against demands of a particular job through interviews, testing, reference checks, and experience evaluations; planning, developing, and managing affirmative action plan (AAP); identifying legal requirements and government reporting regulations related to human resources functions; coordinating training in the areas of personnel practices; administers performance review program; administers salary administration program; administers benefit programs; administers employee orientation programs; and serves management as the source of advice and assistance on human resources matters and problems.

The preferred Human Resources Manager requirements include knowledge of employment law, experience with AAP development and preparation and experience with other government reporting; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze data; and excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. This position reports directly to the Director of Corporate Services.

To qualify for this position the person must be able to operate computerized software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. The person must have a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or commensurate experience in human resources or a related field, and a minimum of five years’ experience in the human resources field is required. A valid Alabama Driver’s License is required.
