Job Description

Manager Information Services, Cyber Security for Chicago, IL location. Responsible for all IT security operations, including oversight of the Security Operations Center. Direct or manage all Cyber Security project, process, resource and support activities as related to supported applications. Monitor, measure and report customer service levels against performance standards. Provide team management, leadership and education in support of service management and service delivery processes. Manage resource agility and assist with career progression. Participate in strategy, operations and project related decisions for application management. Manage operating and capital budgets to meet NMHC budget goals. Implement best practices for global threat landscape, attack vectors and threat intelligence within global security industry security frameworks. Negotiate with and manage external security vendors, including budget, contracts and licensing. Environment: Global security frameworks (GDPR, NIST, HIPAA, HTRUST). Manage deployment and operation of the following security controls: Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Network Intrusion Prevention System, Firewall, Email security gateway, Endpoint protection (Antivirus, Endpoint Detection and Response), Web Application Firewall, Vulnerability assessment tools.


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Management Information Systems or Information Security plus 8 years of experience in the job offered or Information Services Security. 8 years of experience with a Security Operations Center. Experience must include: Advising top executives on improving cyber security program; Project management with Cyber Security; global threat landscape, attack vectors and threat intelligence; negotiating and managing security vendors, including: budget, contracts and licensing; managing IS team; security frameworks: NIST, HIPAA, PCI; managed deployment and operation of: SIEM, Network Intrusion Prevention System, Firewall, Email security gateway, Endpoint protection (Antivirus, Endpoint Detection and Response), Web Application Firewall, Vulnerability assessment tools. Requires regional travel to host sites.
