A clinically competent, registered, professional nurse who prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care to acute patients requiring rapid intervention through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members, while maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice. Ability to respond to patients needing rapid intervention across multiple departments including emergency department, adult inpatient units, interventional labs and diagnostic imaging. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of current acute critical care experience within the past 5 years
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Must pass a basic EKG test within 1 month of hire
  • Current State of Illinois license in good standing
Required Education: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing preferred. Associate Degree RNs must enroll in an accredited Bachelors of Science (BSN) completion program within 90 days of employment start date and will have three years from the employment start date to complete a BSN degree.
  • BLS
  • ACLS within 90 days of hire
