Three Saints Bay, LLC, a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a Staff Accountant to effectively and efficiently provide day to day accounting support at our headquarters in Manassas, VA.
- Research and prepare monthly journal entries, including month end accruals and managing the monthly close process.
- Review and post accounts payable vouchers and accounts receivable cash receipts.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations and analysis.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations, verify all deposits, address questions and problems from banking institutions.
- Review and approve expense reports for payment.
- Assist with basic project set-up.
- Complete workforce additions/updates within accounting system.
- Review/Analyze revenue, cost of goods sold, profit margin.
- Perform the accounting function for multiple entities.
- Maintain fixed assets schedule.
- Assist with year-end audits, preparation of month-end financial statements.
- Provide Accounting analysis and complex reconciliations.
- Provide support for internal audits and various information requests with customers.
- Ensure receipt of accurate and timely information and the analysis required for management to monitor revenue, expenses and variance to budget.
- Prepare and review schedules needed by third party tax provider.
- Ensure that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
- Support with special projects and workflow process improvements.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- BS degree in Accounting or related field.
- Ability to pass a background investigation.
- Excellent computer skills with an emphasis on MS Excel.
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to assist with process improvements in accounting and lead projects.
- Experience working in a professional services or government contracting environment.
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint.
- Knowledge of government contracting and contract types CPFF, CPIF, FFP, FFP LOE, and T&M to include revenue recognition.
- 2+ year(s) of accounting experience.
