Impact & Responsibilities: Facilitates academic accommodations for students with disabilities; oversees coordination of alternative text processes; assists with orienting students with disabilities to the university; maintains knowledge of the laws, guidelines, and regulations affecting students with disabilities; and participates in broader department and Student Life Division activities.

 

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, social work, family services, disability studies or related field; at least one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people; knowledge of the application of laws and regulations pertaining to individuals with disabilities; ability to work independently; strong oral and written communication skills; and strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Student experience will be considered.

 

Preferred: Experience providing the delivery of services for students with disabilities in a college or university setting; experience delivering academic support services in a college or university setting; and knowledge of assistive technology and ADA Coordinator Training Certification.

35 000 gross annual income
