Dear AbilityLinks Supporter,

Thanks to all of you that attended the 2009 AbilityLinks Conference and Employment Expo last month and congratulations to U.S. Cellular on winning the AbilityLinks Visionary Award, one of the many highlights of the day-long event. Read more.

The AbilityLinks mentoring program recently completed its third successful year and matched more than a dozen job seekers to successfully employed disabled individuals. AbilityLinks mentors meet with mentees on line, in person and by phone to share their experience and assist job seekers with advancing their career goals.  If you would like to participate as a mentor or mentee please click this link to learn more.

Want more information about how to take full advantage of using AbilityLinks.org to find a job or fill an opening? You’ll be pleased to know AbilityLinks is currently offering a series of webinars that give practical tips to job seekers and employers seeking to increase their disability diversity. Please visit our events calendar to sign up for one of these free webinars.

AbilityLinks.org is planning on holding a virtual job fair this fall and is looking for volunteers who would be interested in serving on a committee that will help plan this online event. Please contact Ken Skord at 630/909-7440 or kskord@abilitylinks.org to join this AbilityLinks committee.

Finally, I would like to welcome new consortium members: New Millennium Theatre Company, Sargent & Lundy, Comp TIA Educational Foundation, Alliant Credit Union and Gas Technology Institute. If you’re not a member  yet, please click here to join the consortium or make a contribution to support AbilityLinks.
