For over 100 years, Blind Industries and Services of Maryland (BISM) has been changing people's lives for the better.  Unemployment among the blind hovers stubbornly around 70% and we work tirelessly to fix that.  BISM looks to change that statistic by offering meaningful and stable career opportunities and employment for over 600 associates, most of whom are blind or vision impaired.  In addition to employment opportunities, we have some of the best rehabilitation training programs in the country.  Our programs are free to Maryland residents and are designed to teach people of all ages how to live independently with vision impairment.  We have an uncompromising belief in the capabilities of people who are blind and every day we see that belief born out in the accomplishments of our Associates and students.
