We are seeking an experienced Systems Development Engineer (L5) to join our team at Amazon. MGM+SA under the Prime Video umbrella is a Streaming App available to U.S. Customers for a premium no-ad streaming experience on thousands of web, mobile & set-top devices. Our apps serve 4 live channels and over 2000 VOD movies and original shows, including blockbusters and acquired & original series. We work closely with a broad set of Amazon teams in Prime Video, Fire TV, App Store, Amazon.com, as well as Marketing, Creative and Legal. We also work with external partners, vendors and service providers.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack systems across development, testing, and production environments on AWS. You will work with cutting-edge technologies and third-party services to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our critical infrastructure.
Key job responsibilities
1) Design, implement, and maintain full-stack systems on AWS, encompassing development, testing, and production environments.
2) Develop and optimize containerized applications using Kubernetes for orchestration.
3) Integrate and manage third-party services to enhance system capabilities.
4) Implement and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring security and performance.
5) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions.
6) Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues across the entire stack.
7) Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
8) Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices and processes.
9) Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the team
