AWS Technical Content Experience (TCX) is looking for a technical writer to join the AWS Perimeter Protection services documentation team.
Perimeter Protection builds everything from low-level packet inspection hardware/software to customer-facing AWS services to globally distributed systems capable of mitigating the world’s largest and most sophisticated cyber-attacks. Our unique technology and innovative services such as AWS Network Firewall, AWS Shield, AWS WAF, and AWS Firewall Manager monitor and defend some of the largest customers and networks in the world.
Ideally, you thrive in a highly collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and are comfortable interacting with highly technical software and networking development teams. You have both a technical background and a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality technical documentation. You have the ability to dive deep with a willingness to learn what you don’t know. You have a strong interest in exploring emerging AI technologies to improve content development efficiency. You will be part of a customer-obsessed, dynamic team of talented, geographically distributed, highly technical professionals on a mission to help customers build solutions with AWS services.
Successful past delivery of developer-oriented technical documentation for a programming platform is required. You must have experience writing documentation for APIs, SDKs, components, and tools. Your documentation will be used both by technical and non-technical internal stakeholders and external 3rd parties who build and manage security deployments in the Amazon Web Services platform.

Utility Computing (UC)
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Key job responsibilities
* Author and deliver high-quality conceptual and procedural content, API reference documentation, and code examples
* Develop, negotiate, and drive content strategy in alignment with product strategy and Amazon content guidelines
* Work with customer feedback, use website and content engagement data, and direct your analysis and insights into improving content performance and strategy
* Advocate for optimal customer experiences, dive deep to develop domain expertise, and function as the first customer for your products
* Work with other writers to improve how we write, hire and develop talent, and identify and drive opportunities to boost team efficiency.
