The Amazon Robotics Autonomous Mobility team develops software that powers Proteus, Amazon Robotics’ first fully-autonomous mobile warehouse robot. We are growing and seek a talented and motivated Software Development Manager for our Platform Data and Tools team. You will lead and support an exceptional, collaborative group of engineers building the platform and architecture for our onboard mapping, perception, motion planning and control software. A key part of your team’s charter will be building the infrastructure and tools to support advanced machine learning capabilities. The successful candidate will be a hands-on manager with a background building high-performance, scalable and reliable software systems and experience leading and supporting software teams. Experience in areas such as robotics, autonomous navigation, machine learning, and/or real-time systems is a plus.

We are a multi-disciplinary team of collaborative Applied Scientists and Software Engineers with expertise in Computer Vision, SLAM, motion planning and controls. Our mission is to deliver autonomous navigation software that utilizes state-of-the-art sensor technologies and algorithms to enable safe and efficient operation of autonomous mobile robots throughout the Amazon fulfillment and transportation network.
