Amazon is a leader in developing first of its kind hardware, such as Kindle, Echo and Dash. The Amazon reliability team aims to develop reliable and robust products that delight our customers. In this role, as a Sr. Hardware Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for the reliability engineering of our new and emerging category devices. You should have a good understanding of Reliability statistics, Reliability tests, and a solid understanding of consumer electronics. You will be responsible for:
- Defining new test specifications, methodologies, and test coverage to assure product reliability
- Identifying and validating product risks while working with design teams to mitigate them
- Owning hands-on experimental design and execution
- Performing reliability prediction of failure mechanisms on products under development and products in the field
You will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and test. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.
