As a Senior Platform Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Building and supporting Akamai services on AWS GovCloud and Azure Government
- Deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on cloud platforms
- Analyzing and improving the security, stability, speed, and capacity of Akamai's production network
- Developing and implementing procedures for automating Platform Operations and tasks, streamlining day to day work.
- Monitoring service health and promptly handling alerts to ensure quick resolution and SLA adherence
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, another related field or its equivalent
- Have experience in AWS GovCloud and Azure Government
- Demonstrate experience in Kubernetes, Docker, Helm Charts, Terraform, etc
- Have experience working with Linux (Ubuntu) and large-scale cloud-based infrastructure
- Be familiar with Monitoring/Logging/Performance Analystics tools such as VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, Prometheus, Logstash, Kibana, or DataDog
- Have experience with OpenSearch/ElasticSearch cluster setup and maintenance
