The Chronicle team is seeking a Senior UX Designer who leads by doing and is comfortable with all stages of the product lifecycle; from early generative research to initial product definition, from white boarding new interaction models to creating highly refined mock ups, flows and motion design studies. From pitching new concepts to internal and external stakeholders to testing new concepts with customers.
We are developing systems that will use technology to fundamentally change the way Amazon business is managed. We are looking for a designer who will think outside the box, providing an experience that internal and external customers feel is better than anything else they have ever used. You have an “anything is possible” mindset when faced with seemingly intractable problems. You will work alongside product management and engineering to define and build the essential lovable product. This position requires deep customer focus, the ability to dive deep and invent, and the ability to make hard decisions fast.

Key job responsibilities
• 8+ year’s industry experience, Bachelors or equivalent.
• Collaborate and partner with other designers to create great designs that are visible across Amazon and meet measurable business goals and requirements.
• Quickly yet thoroughly create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups as needed to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors
• Create user-centered designs by considering customer feedback, usability findings and market analysis. Use customer feedback, business requirements and market research to assist in developing use cases, high-level requirements. Present design work to the user experience team, product team, and executives for review and feedback.
• Design the information architecture, user interface, and interaction flows for a variety of software applications.
• Use an established design system to solve new UX problems. Develop new interactions and contribute those back to an established design system for others to use and benefit from
• Develop conceptual diagrams, workflows, wireframes, visual mockups, prototypes, and detailed user-interface specifications.
• Contribute to the User Experience group’s shared knowledge of user-centered design and research methodologies
