Amazon's Legal Department is looking for an attorney with a strong transactional and regulatory background to support Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) dynamic and rapidly growing global transportation, logistics, and supply chain operations businesses.
You will be responsible for structuring, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements, and for independently and effectively solving a broad range of commercial and regulatory issues to support AWS’s supply chain. You will work directly with the business, serving as lead counsel on strategic supply chain operations projects, providing day-to-day legal advice, resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, addressing regulatory questions, and handling pre-litigation disputes and inquiries. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and you will build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.
Key job responsibilities
- Drafting and negotiating complex, bespoke, and high-value contracts;
- Providing day-to-day legal advice on a variety of transportation, logistics, and supply chain operations issues;
- Owning and implementing strategic initiatives and projects while working cross-functionally with other legal teams;
- Developing and improving legal review and engagement processes; and
- Resolving pre-litigation disputes and compliance challenges affecting supply chain operations.
