Job Purpose: This position serves a vital role in enhancing student experience by developing, coordinating, and implementing a diverse blend of programs and services that support the social, cultural, personal, and professional growth for a wide range of students. The position focuses on fostering community, promoting student engagement, and supporting various student organizations and events. The position will collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to build a vibrant, inclusive, and enriching campus culture through student activities, clubs, cultural initiatives, and more.
Requirements:
Education and Experience: An associate's degree (Bachelor's degree is preferred) in communication or a related field. A minimum of one year of related experience.
Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms, graphic design platforms, and general technology, including Microsoft Office.
• Good interpersonal communication, people, and leadership skills.
• Strong experience coordinating student programs, advising student organizations, honor societies, and publishing publications for the newspaper and/or publicity, tangibly and/or virtually.
• Strong knowledge of marketing, public relations, club organizations, and/or athletics.
• Experience in a higher education and college setting
• Technologically literate.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
Organization, department, and general office operations, services, procedures, and policies; financial rules, regulations, laws, and procedures and maintenance equipment procedures and the ability to multitask, adhere to budgets, and insurance regulations.

Duties:
1. Event and Activity Coordination
• Manage and coordinate student life events across multiple campuses and centers.
• Develop and maintain a master schedule of college-wide events, ensuring smooth logistical execution.
• Oversee event logistics, including set-up, take-down, and coordination with stakeholders to align events with institutional goals.
2. Administrative and Budget Support
• Process and manage necessary forms, documentation, and financial oversight for events, student clubs, and activities.
• Monitor student organization budgets, ensuring compliance with institutional policies.
• Assist in preparing reports, financial documentation, and other administrative tasks.
3. Program Management and Student Support
• Administer student affairs programs, including budget monitoring, policy development, and program evaluation.
• Serve as a resource to student groups, offering guidance on event planning, facility usage, and resource acquisition.
4. Student Engagement and Community Building
• Develop strategies to enhance student participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive campus environment that promotes emotional, social, and academic growth.
• Support student clubs, activities, and cultural events to cultivate school pride and community engagement.
5. Training and Advising
• Provide training and guidance to student club leaders to develop leadership skills and successfully plan events.
• Support the creation of new student clubs and advise organizations on compliance with college policies.
6. Marketing and Outreach
• Produce and manage promotional materials (brochures, flyers, social media, website content) for student life activities.
• Utilize various communication channels to ensure awareness and engagement in student programs.
7. Program Development and Evaluation
• Track and assess student engagement, attendance, and participation in programs, recommending improvements.
• Develop workshops, webinars, and learning opportunities to enhance student engagement and leadership skills.
8. Information Management and Communication
• Serve as a resource for students, staff, and faculty on student life programming, policies, and services.
• Provide up-to-date information and presentations on departmental events and opportunities.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned or as required
Clearances: Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and in order to be employed at the College. The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check.
