The Amazon Publisher Monetization (APM) organization’s mission is to maximize publisher value by delivering compelling ad experiences in video, audio, and display across 1P Amazon properties such as Freevee, Twitch, Fire TV, Prime Video, Alexa, Live Events, IMDb, Store, Grocery, and more. Prime Video has a unique combination of premium video content, wide customer reach, Amazon audience insights, and more, and is therefore positioned to help global brand advertisers of all sizes reach their customers in impactful ways.
For this role, we're looking for an experienced Principal Technical Business Development Manager to help us manage the growth of premium advertising ad products such as sponsorships and takeovers for Prime Video globally. In addition, this person will have single threaded ownership around increasing premium ads demand on Prime Video working closely with the Product and Tech teams.
The person will be responsible for defining Business Development strategy that complements product strategy – including collaborating with product team to build go-to-market (GTM) strategies, drive revenue, establish partnerships, and enable the development of all premium and emerging ad products for Prime Video. They will also be responsible for growing revenue for by scaling existing customer channels and developing new channels; leading strategic business planning; supplying business inputs into general marketing to achieve objectives and deliver against business strategy; and defining the mix of products/packages to offer to market, within a year and across years, including pricing strategies in partnership with Sales and Finance teams.
Key job responsibilities
• Construct a strategic business plan focused on winning new customer segments and growing existing segments while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. Sales, Finance, Legal, Marketing)
• Generating and implementing big ideas to drive business improvements, innovation, and scale within Prime Video Ads
• Construct business goals based on market segment and customer opportunities
• Achieve business targets by working with sales, marketing, product, program and engineering to deliver against customer needs
• Lead day-to-day operational aspects of the business, including gathering/addressing VOC and business improvement initiatives
• Build and maintain relationships with senior leaders to grow and optimize the business
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to evolve products/services based on feedback from the market segment
• Define and analyze business metrics that drive acquisition, retention, and wallet growth
