Amazon's Human Rights & Social Impact program within WWS drives customer trust, business continuity, and sustainable social impact by embedding respect for human rights and the environment throughout Amazon’s value chain. We implement company-wide standards and commitments such as our Global Human Rights Principles (GHRP) and Supply Chain Standards (SCS). We seek to continuously improve the tools and processes used in integrating human rights and environmental due diligence across the business.
The Human Rights & Social Impact team (HRSI) is looking for a results-oriented, collaborative, and self-motivated professional to support Amazon’s human rights reporting and external engagement strategy. The Human Rights Reporting and Engagement Manager will support efforts to manage human rights transparency across Amazon’s value chain, gather data, and meet disclosure expectations. Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, high judgment, and skilled at project management, with experience working on ESG and/or business & human rights issues. The Human Rights Reporting and Engagement Manager will collaborate, engage, and build trust both inside Amazon and externally with relevant stakeholders. This role will be part of a team that provides strategic advice across HRSI, business teams, and leadership on global regulatory developments.
Key job responsibilities
- Execute a strategy to manage transparency across Amazon to meet global human rights reporting regulations, enhance trust with HRSI’s customers, and deliver key public disclosures such as for Amazon’s Sustainability Report
- Support efforts to gather and validate value chain data, operationalize reporting mandates and voluntary reporting strategies, and meet emerging reporting requirements and human rights-related laws.
- Work closely with WWS, Amazon business, and tech teams to develop human rights reporting capabilities across the value chain and meet customer demands, while maintaining stakeholder trust through credible and consistent external messaging.
- Earn trust and collaborate with a wide range of WW Sustainability, business team, and other Amazon stakeholders to advance human rights external engagement goals and manage critical issues.
- Deliver persuasive, data-driven recommendations and strategies on both short- and long-term human rights challenges and opportunities.
