Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. The Sr. Manager's responsibilities will include defining and implementing the strategic vision for his value stream to achieve scale and overseeing the daily operations of the value stream. Safety and product quality are paramount. The Sr. Manager and their team will work closely with development engineering for manufacturing process definitions and will leverage our teams in procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain to enable high-volume production throughput. The role is based in Redmond, WA.
Key job responsibilities
-Manufacturing & Environmental Test Operations and scale satellite manufacturing operations, including assembly, integration, and test activities
-Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to meet production targets and quality standards
-Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce cycle time
-Establish and maintain manufacturing metrics, KPIs, and reporting systems
-Oversee factory layout, workflow optimization, and capacity planning Direct environmental test operations including thermal vacuum, vibration, and acoustic testing
-Manage test facility operations, maintenance, and capability expansion Ensure compliance with test specifications and quality requirements
-Drive test schedule optimization and resource allocation
-Oversee test data collection, analysis, and reporting systems

This Sr. Manager role will lead manufacturing and production teams for one of our production fascilities in Redmond. They will have end to end responsibility for manufacturing some of the most critical and complex technology products.
