Position Summary
Serves as a Communications Specialist within the ADUSA Distribution and Transportation Communication team, responsible for developing and implementing internal and external communications programs and initiatives. Key responsibilities include contributing to the development of strategic communications plans, strategies, and tactics, as well as developing tools and processes to drive effective and efficient communication efforts aligned with the company’s overall strategy. The role also provides communication support for cross-functional initiatives and programs, along with project management for significant communications initiatives.
This position encompasses all aspects of associate communications, working closely with associates at all levels, and overseeing and managing assigned projects. The Communications Specialist will assist in designing and executing communication strategies aimed at engaging, informing, and aligning associates with the company’s objectives. This role is critical in fostering a unified internal culture through clear, consistent, and impactful communication across
- Support the development and execution of strategic internal and external communications plans, ensuring attention to detail and compliance with deadlines.
- Create and manage detailed, timely and brand compliant content across varying platforms, including intranet, social media, digital signage, newsletters, podcasts, and videos.
- Manage accounts and ensure timely and consistent delivery of email communications from business email.
- Oversee editorial calendar and multimedia content management, ensuring accuracy, thoroughness, and adherence to established deadlines.
- Manage corporate social media presence, including LinkedIn, etc, with attention to detail and timely posting.
- Provide communications support during crisis and issue management situations, requiring precise, detail-oriented responses under tight deadlines.
- Analyze communication effectiveness and adapt strategies promptly based on metrics and feedback. Provide regular metrics reporting.
- Provide detailed communications counsel and timely collaboration with key stakeholders across departments.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- 3-5 years in communications or related role.
- Degree in Communications, Business or related field
Knowledge
- MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and HTML.
- Digital signage platforms and strategies.
- Use of internal email campaign software like Poppulo.
- Proficient in Canva or other graphic design software.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong customer focus, interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Strong editing and proofreading capabilities.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple concurrent projects/tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational, planning and project management skills.
- Energetic self-starter.
