As an Executive Engagement Lead within AWS, you will have an exciting opportunity to help deliver on the strategy to build mind share and broaden the use of Amazon’s cloud computing platform with startups. Your responsibilities will include partnering with cross-functional AWS leaders and teams, leveraging internal and external data to generate business insights, and supporting AWS executives as they build long-term relationships with the world’s top startups and venture capital firms. You will work closely with the AWS sales, technical, and marketing teams to drive strategic interactions with startups that create long-term business opportunities. You’ll work closely with senior AWS team members to grow relationships with startups through industry research, direct interaction with founders, planning, and tracking executive engagements, and authoring thought leadership reports.
The ideal candidate will possess both a business and technical background and can effectively manage, automate, and interpret large amounts of information. They will have worked in a fast-paced and rigorous environment, whether in a corporate structure (e.g., major technology platform companies), startup company, venture capital, investment banking, and/or consulting. They should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges with the ability to work cross-organizationally. A keen sense of ownership, curiosity, and bias for action is a must. They will also possess a passion for learning about new and emerging technologies.
Key job responsibilities
* Drive thought leadership by connecting AWS senior leaders with Startup teams and AWS customers in the startup ecosystem. This includes researching and analyzing venture capital and startup trends and generating compelling opportunities for senior executives to engage with our startup customers.
* Collect, analyze and report on KPIs and other performance metrics to enable the Statup org to deliver and demonstrate impactful results.
* Partner with sales and the Sales Operations team to develop automated and systematic solutions for tracking startup engagements.
* Align and work closely with senior team members to support those relationships and scale the resulting outcomes.
* Collaborate with sales, marketing, and business development teams on internal projects, initiatives, and events to drive engagement and deeper partnerships with VCs and their portfolio companies.
