Job Description
A Clinical Home Infusion Pharmacist reviews physician prescriptions and medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriate drug therapy for home infusion patients. Acts as a drug information resource to patients, physicians, and other allied healthcare professionals in verbal and written format. Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and all necessary ancillary supplies for patient therapies by performing job specific duties.
This is a Casual position. No hours per week are guaranteed.
Hours needed: 7am, 8am & 9:30am start time. 8 hour shifts. Monday-Friday
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Home Infusion healthcare experience (two years' preferred)
- One year Asepic technique and sterile intravenous compounding experience (four years preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- State Board of Pharmacy License, or eligible for licensure
- Registered Pharmacist preferred
Required Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy
- Pharm.D. preferred
