The Kuiper Infrastructure Finance team is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to support Production Operations. This role will collaborate extensively with Global Trade & Compliance team to develop comprehensive financial models that optimize tariffs, import duties, and VAT scenarios across international operations. The position requires expertise in modeling complex duty structures, VAT recovery opportunities, and cross-border tax implications while maintaining compliance with local regulations. This role encompasses critical financial planning cycles such as Month-End Close, Quarterly Guidance forecasts, and Annual Operating Plans, alongside continuous controllership responsibilities. The position offers substantial visibility within the Kuiper Infrastructure business team, presenting an exceptional opportunity for ambitious candidates seeking to excel. Key stakeholders include Kuiper Production Operations leadership, accounting, and Kuiper FP&A with whom the analyst will partner to optimize strategic planning and drive savings across Kuiper.
The successful candidate will need to be strategic, analytical, and have the demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment. The team needs a self-starter, who is able to work efficiently and autonomously. The candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically and manage multiple competing priorities effectively. A typical day in this role provides an opportunity to improve and create new measures for business effectiveness, innovate creative solutions utilizing large scale data mining tools, and identify high priority projects to maximize results for key stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities
- Create financial models for tariffs, import duties, and VAT optimization, analyze cross-border trade implications and duty structure impacts
- Develop duty rate cards and landed cost analyses for international trade, monitor regulatory changes and assess financial impacts across global operations
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization of processes, implement best practices and deliver automation throughout month-end close and financial planning cycles.
- Analyze complex financial data and provide accurate and timely reports to key stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Support the month-end close process and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Assist in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Deliver detailed variance analysis, identifying risks and opportunities, and effectively communicate results to senior leadership in order to influence tactical and strategic business decisions.
- Develop financial models for new business concepts and resulting financial impact to help drive data driven decision making.
- Work with big data and transforming it into insights and information.
- Participate in Finance initiatives, including but not limited to process improvements, ad hoc analyses, and preparation of periodic reporting activities
