Key job responsibilities
- Work backwards from customer problems to develop novel machine learning solutions for music and podcast recommendations. Through A/B testing and online experiments you'll implement and validate your ideas and solutions.
- Advocate solutions and communicate results, insights and recommendations to stakeholders and partners.
- Collaborate closely with applied scientists on machine learning tasks ranging from ML code & data management to experimentation, training and deployment of ML models.
- Own the development and operationalization of solutions deployed in production.
- Collaborate with partner engineering teams to operationalize and scale training improvements across experimentation and production workloads.

About the team
The team is responsible for models that underly all of Amazon Music’s recommendations across content types and algorithmic stations on mobile, web and Alexa. PRISM also owns data pipelines that generate training data and features and an approximate nearest neighbor service.
As a Machine Learning Engineer on the team, you will collaborate with product managers, applied scientists and engineers to deliver meaningful recommendations, personalized for each of the millions of customers using Amazon Music globally. You will be involved in every aspect of the development lifecycle, from idea generation to development and deployment of advanced models.
