The Opportunity
This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location.
What You’ll Work On
Lead the Program Admin (PA) team in the function assigned. Execute functional initiatives to bring fulfillment activities into GHRS. As part of the functional Client Management Team act as the key point contact for business leaders in PA delivery. Acts as Client Manager for projects and escalations in span of responsibility. Meets all Program Admin operational KPIs, deliver operational results with sustained excellence and contribute to achieve customer service standards aligned to the SC. Sustains effective partnerships with BHR and Practice Center teams to achieve transversal goals. This role is empowered to surpass expectations by: collaborating, anticipating, driving to resolution and serving with care, compassion and confidence. This role takes direct ownership on the customer experience and the team development and career progression.
Essential Job Functions/Core Job Responsibilities
- Drives optimal customer satisfaction; focus on excellence in HR program delivery and client management; responsible for program outcome and deliverables. Promotes the satisfaction of the SC customers (Abbott employees and managers) of the organization aligned to Global HR Services (GHRS) vision and Pillars.
- HR Program Delivery: Manages project portfolio; works with BHR and PCs to establish program delivery requirements, service levels and insights; through leadership of PA and SC scope of services
- Collaboration: Shares work across a global network of service centers and GHRS peers in a matrixed structure; accountable to successfully manage working agreements with multiple GHRS global managers; interacts extensively with Practice Centers on program delivery strategy and execution
- Stakeholder Management: Manages strong relationships company-wide with the different groups of clients within HR and continuously seeks for optimization of the processes, leveraging the global network and the capabilities of GHRS under a centralized focus on the client. Is an active partner on the different collaboration instances and workshops. Also, work closely with the CPC/C&B to deliver annual projects and programs successfully
- Subject Matter Expert: Provides specialized knowledge and guidance in Compensation matters; seen as a reliable and knowledgeable resource for PC topics; audits cases; provides feedback and training and provides support documentation in case of escalations by clients, as well as troubleshooting and service remediation.
- Talent Management:
- : Work closely with TA recruiting team) to guarantee timely sourcing and hiring.
Develop: Ensure Onboarding is executed timely and in alignment to GHRS standards that includes meeting the 90-day timeline milestones. Additionally, is responsible for the management of specialized sub-teams with diverse skills to obtain optimum results and ensure successful delivery of the HR programs. Applies regular coaching and feedback to enhance their skills and competencies. Also manage underperforming employees and mentor high performing talent accordingly.
- : Execute all engagement initiatives to generate a Healthy and positive environment. Also promotes diversity, encourage individuals to drive their careers, recognizing and rewarding their teams for their contributions
- HR Projects: Participates in GHRS and CPC implementation projects applying the full-service lifecycle methodology and contributes significantly to annual Scope of Services reviews
- Demonstrate business savvy and works to be 100% aligned with internal standards of compliance and ethical rigor
Position Accountability / Scope
- Report to the Sr. Manager, HR Program Administration (US)
- Is a key member of the Functional Client Management Team
- Interacts with various levels of management, as well as employees and managers regionally and globally as customers. Specific to HR, interacts mostly with BHR and Practice Centers
- This roles coordinates: At the local level: Regularly with teams from Program Administration/Service Center, payroll and HRTS. At a Regional/Functional Level: With the extended HR community, i.e. BHR, Practice Centers, HR Communications, HR Finance. At the Global Level: With the different groups within GHRS and the HR community
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors’ Degree in business or related field or relevant work experience required
- Masters or MBA degree preferred
- 7+ years in HR or related field and minimum 5 years at a manager level with experience in HR shared services, Projects & Compensation environment
- Experience working in a global company, with matrix organizations managing internal clients with different stakeholders.
- Experience in HR Data Management, HR User Experience, with relevant contact center technologies such as CRM or Service Ticket applications, and Workday System of Record or similar.
- Languages: Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Competencies Needed: Critical Thinking, Analytical Skills, Insightful, Process Design Skills, Project Management, Understanding of HR Technology/Applications, Problem Solving, Relationship Builder, Collaboration, Emotional Intelligence/Empathy and Cultural Awareness, Coaching, Leading with ambiguity and Resourcefulness.
