NM Lake Forest Hospital Expansion
Northwestern Medicine has begun a campus development project at Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital to allow us to better serve patients and the community. The was launched in response to the ongoing need for more patient care services and expanded access to patient care.
During the project, we will add two new patient care pavilions to the hospitals. This will allow us to:
- Increase the total number of hospital beds to 210, including 168 inpatient beds, 24 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds and 18 postpartum beds
- Relocate and expand the Emergency Department with more diagnostic imaging equipment capabilities
- Improve access to care
- Continue to grow specialty care services
