We are seeking a talented and collaborative Associate Civil Designer to join our design team in Bedford, NH. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists on solid waste infrastructure development, site planning, and sustainable design projects. Essential Functions – What You Will Do
- Prepare standalone figures, drawings, details, and technical and engineering drawing sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software.
- Create grading, surfaces, 3D modeling, and profiles using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Perform volume and area calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D analysis tools.
- Adhere to company standards and procedures to ensure quality and consistency in all deliverables.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with project team members, demonstrating strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn, develop best practices, and adapt to new challenges and innovative technologies.
- Perform field assignments related to construction observation and/or material sampling.

Competencies – What We Are Looking For
- Certificate or Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Computer-Aided Design, Drafting, or a related discipline required.
- At least two years of relevant experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience using Carlson or ArcGIS is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the flexibility to manage shifting priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and technical documentation.
- Effective communicator and collaborative team player.
- Problem-solving skills and proactive approach to project challenges.
Physical Requirements
- Work is mainly performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
- Must be able to visit project sites and use heavy field equipment, power tools, and ladders as required.
- Requires long periods of sitting, walking and, at times, bending and prolonged standing.
- Substantial repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers is required.
- The work requires both indoor and outdoor activity in temperatures ranging from moderate to extreme cold or hot and other weather conditions.
- Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as viewing a computer screen and extensive reading.
- Must have the ability to lift and carry parcels, packages, and other items, up to 50 pounds.
