Job Summary:
Reporting directly to the Licensing and Regulatory Supervisor, the Licensing Specialist serves as primary contact and manager of all relevant insurance licenses for all US affiliate companies and licensed employees. This person will serve as a strategic internal business partner and subject matter resource for applicable insurance licensing regulations and requirements.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages the license onboarding process and continued maintenance of all corporate business entity (agency) and individual employee insurance licenses, including all new license applications, existing license renewals, required annual reports, and data or information requests related to licensing
- Maintains an updated database of all corporate business entity and individual insurance licenses; regularly monitors to ensure continued license compliance
- Provides direct support to employees requiring insurance licensure, including enrollment in any required pre-license education courses and assistance with the initial license application process
- Management of individual continuing education (CE), including CE course enrollment, monitoring for individual CE compliance, and advising on current CE requirements in all applicable jurisdictions
- Provides support to various Departments for any licensing related data requests
- Processing of all invoices related to corporate licensing
- Reporting of any corporate or individual license changes, business entity or individual address changes, and all other insurance license updates to the appropriate regulatory bodies, as necessary
- Establish and maintain accurate and organized files, records, and documentation
- Utilizes discretion with confidential information
- Maintains culture of regulatory compliance
- Other duties as assigned
Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills:
- 3 - 5 years of experience with P&C licensing
- Ability to handle different and unexpected issues in a calm, decisive manner
- Ability to develop and implement new solutions in handing unusual issues
- Ability to analyze data, prepare and draft reports and related correspondence
- Ability to successfully execute duties with general instruction and minimal guidance
- Able to communicate effectively both in verbal and written communications
- Self-starter with attention to detail
- Superior customer service skills
- Able to multi-task with changing priorities
- Experience in an office or insurance setting is helpful
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Education/Certifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required

While there is some flexibility in the hours, this position will be Monday-Friday during regular business hours (approximately 8:00am-5:00pm). Occasional overtime may be required according to business need.
