About the position:
We are seeking a Market Intelligence Analyst to provide commentary, analysis and insights about the buy side of the municipal market for The Bond Buyer’s executive-level subscribers. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the buy-side participants in the municipal bond market and how public finance works across all levels of government. Essential skills include the ability to analyze the most important trends in the world of municipal bonds and explain clearly what’s at stake for executives in the field.
Overview:
The Market Intelligence Analyst guides strategic decision-making by executive audiences with timely, actionable insights and advice about market data, trends, news, and competitive activity. This role requires a keen understanding of public finance and the municipal market landscape, the ability to identify emerging opportunities, risks and threats, and the communication skills to translate complex information and data — including RFPs, RFQs, and other documents from issuers — into clear, concise, and impactful reports for attorneys, asset managers, portfolio managers, traders, and analysts. A nimble communicator and writer, this role will be expected to create timely content ranging from quick takes on breaking news to in-depth research reports. An ability and eagerness to engage with Arizent’s executive-level subscribers is key, as the analyst will be a face and voice of the brand, leading roundtable and other discussions at events both internal and external.
The analyst will operate independently from the reporting team but will collaborate closely with the newsroom, research, and our events to elevate The Bond Buyer’s thought leadership and visibility among municipal market practitioners, particularly those on the buy side.

Prepare and deliver regular and ad-hoc market intelligence reports, presentations, and briefings to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
Communicate findings in a clear, concise, and actionable manner, tailoring the message to the audience.
Create a daily newsletter for subscribers with need-to-know buy side analysis, establishing familiarity among Bond Buyer subscribers and building personal voice and authority.
Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making through webinars, salon dinners, events and on-air appearances.
Strategic Support:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including editorial, sales, marketing, product development, and strategy, to provide market intelligence support.
