This leader will manage multiple internal and external discussions concurrently, including but not limited to hosting business reviews and contract negotiations with external suppliers. The position can be based in Bellevue, WA OR Nashville, TN.
Key job responsibilities
- Establishes the benchmark and targets for ground services cost
- Negotiates pricing and contracts with our ground services vendors to meet budget targets
- Develops long-term strategies and influences cross-category buying processes and standards
- Conduct macroeconomic and category spend analysis utilizing data from Amazon’s spend analytics cube and external market data.
- Conduct market and supplier research to enhance and inform sourcing and negotiation strategies.
- Gather insights from the analysis, consolidation and scoring of vendor proposals, and make recommendations to Category Managers and business partners.
- Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models and benchmarking analysis
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement processes and maintain procurement ethics in accordance with Amazon’s global policies.
