Partnering with other technical teams, we detect and mitigate ongoing attacks, helping enterprises protect their online presence. Respond to cyber attacks in real time
As Security Architect, you'll provide advanced consultation for mitigating attacks on critical web applications & API for Akamai's managed security customers, like banks, e-commerce and other enterprises. You will help identify real-time cyber-attacks based on available data, strategize & suggest or deploy mitigations while neutralizing adverse impact to the end users.
As a Security Architect, you will be responsible for:
- Devising and engaging mitigation strategies to prevent real-time attacks, using Akamai products & platform
- Performing advanced analysis to identify attacks and threats to customers' digital properties - web applications and associated API's
- Providing consultation & attack mitigation strategies to customers or peer teams based on the analysis
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, another related field or its equivalent.
- Have experience working with Python and SQL
- Have relevant industry experience on the Akamai Platform or API, or Web Application Security
- Have experience with data analysis and knowing the basics of machine learning is an advantage
- Have basic understanding of protocols like HTTP, TCP/IP
- Have basic knowledge of common OWASP top 10 and how they relate to internet services, compromise, or attacks
- Have excellent communication skills & teamwork
- Have a passion for helping customers & peers during critical engagements
- Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative solutions
