We are looking for a skilled, resourceful, and collaborative Project Director with strong business ties to join our team in Denver, Colorado. The Project Director will work closely with a team of engineers and scientists on challenging and exciting projects related to air services. Air projects will include air permitting and dispersion modeling, estimating emissions, assessing air permit compliance for clients in various fields, including solid waste, industrial, and energy facilities. The Project Director will be responsible for developing and securing project work to grow the firm’s air services presence in the region and for recruiting a team of engineers and scientists to support the project work. This leadership position is expected to contribute to the growth of the firm and can lead to firm ownership.

Essential Functions – What You Will Do
- Secure and develop clientele and serve as primary client manager.
- Prepare proposals and project budgets.
- Direct projects both financially and technically.
- Manage and supervise staff engineers and scientists.
- Set technical strategy and oversee production of technical work products.
- Coordinate with project team members and clients.
- Interpret and analyze field and laboratory data.
- Oversee the preparation of air compliance reports, emissions tables, air permit applications, and interpret air regulations.

Competencies – What We Are Looking For
- Interested candidates should have 12 to 15 years relevant experience with a 4-year BS degree (MS or PhD Degree is preferred). Possess or be working toward Professional Licensure a plus.
- Additional consideration will be given to candidates with Air Permitting & Compliance experience (Local, State, NSR, Title V, and/or PSD) in the solid waste, industrial, and energy sectors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills combined with the flexibility to work with shifting priorities.
- Demonstrate strong quantitative and observational skills.
- Solid attention to detail and technical understanding is required.
- Client-service orientation with the ability to anticipate needs and deliver to meet expectations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Work well as a team member, with a collaborative communication style.

Pay
- The expected base salary range for this position is $135,000 to $150,000 per year. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, qualifications, and work location.

Physical Requirements
- Work is mainly performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
- Must be able to visit project sites and use heavy field equipment, power tools, and ladders as required.
- Requires long periods of sitting, walking and, at times, bending and prolonged standing.
- Substantial repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers is required.
- The work requires both indoor and outdoor activity in temperatures ranging from moderate to extreme cold or hot and other weather conditions.
- Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as viewing a computer screen and extensive reading.
- Must have the ability to lift and carry parcels, packages, and other items, up to 50 pounds.
