Position Responsibilities:
Support senior management by managing metrics reporting and performing data mining and big data analysis to provide strategic advice on business financial models. Collect business use cases, research and evaluate opportunities to help Amazon leverage its data to support business functions through complicated mathematical modeling. Analyze financial and metrics data. Automate reports for tool accuracy and readiness as well as financial bridging reporting, where the Business Analyst will play a very important role in helping finance teams adopt services/tooling that has been launched and improve customer trust and transparency. Utilize database technologies, including SQL, ETL, and Oracle to design, develop, and evaluate highly innovative business intelligence tools and automated reports related to financial performance and insights. Transform complicated business problems into mathematics modeling and provide data-driven solutions. Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation, and model implementation.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field and four years of experience in the job offered or as a Business Analyst, Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Miner or a related occupation. Employer will accept six years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): using database technologies, including SQL, ETL or Oracle; processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources including Kibana, OBIEE, Datanet or equivalent data extraction tool; developing automated reporting using advanced MS Excel skills including macros and erlang knowledge; maintaining data integrity to assure input/output accuracy in various databases including Amazon Web Services internal tools such as Cradle, Athena, S3, Redshift, Quicksight or Datanet, or third party solutions such as IBM Cognos Planning Analytics, or Apliqo UX. Partial telecommuting permitted; employees will be required to report to office multiple days per week.
