In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate across teams to unlock groundbreaking solutions that empower developers and transform how businesses leverage open source technologies.
Key job responsibilities
• Guide the team in developing architectural best practices for customers implementing large-scale data processing solutions and AI/ML workflows using open source technologies
• Oversee the development of strategic roadmaps for customers adopting emerging open source technologies in data, AI, and cloud-native domains
• Lead initiatives to quantify and communicate the business value of open source adoption to C-level executives at key accounts
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to develop and implement customer-focused strategies around open source software, that accelerate AWS adoption and maximize business value
• Guide the development of technical content, workshops, and architectural frameworks that address customer challenges and accelerate their cloud adoption
• Provide signals from the field to product and engineering teams, influencing product strategy and roadmap through data-driven insights
• Collaborate with Legal, Security, and Engineering teams to ensure proper open source risk management
• Guide teams on effective community engagement strategies and contribution models to build influence in strategic open source projects
• Drive company representation at open source conferences, speaking engagements, and community events (approximately 25% travel required)
• Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging open source technologies to inform strategic recommendations

A Day in the Life of a Senior Manager, AI/ML Solutions Architecture:
Lead strategic customer meetings where your team showcases transformative OSS solutions. Coach Solutions Architects on complex OSS implementations while reviewing architecture designs. Partner with AWS service teams to influence product strategy based on customer needs. Develop thought leadership content and prepare for industry speaking engagements.
