The position plays a critical role in ensuring effective onboarding and continuous development of new associates.
This position is responsible training new associates, focusing on technical training, safety and evaluating their
progress. This role supports orientation and onboarding tasks while providing ongoing coaching for and feedback to
ensure associates are equipped to succeed in a fast-paced distribution center environment. Key partner in the
onboarding of new associates and assisting existing staff in skills development in areas of proper lifting techniques,
safety, equipment operation and process changes. Partners with Operations team, Industrial Engineer, and Human
Resources to ensure metrics, documentation, tools, and systems are current and following company standards.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide one on one training to associates following the onboarding guidelines and checklists.
· Emphasize safety protocols and best practices, including proper use of equipment, safe work habits and
emergency procedures. Support safety training and always reinforce the importance of safety.
· Assess progress of associates through observations, practical experience, and on-the-job performance.
· Provide constructive feedback and additional support to associates who may require further assistance.
· Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to associates to help them meet performance and safety standards.
Identify areas of improvement and create action plans for individuals as needed.
· Assess and certify associates on equipment and selection techniques.
· Instruct associates on how to select and palletize grocery, produce, meat, frozen food, and dairy orders for
shipment to retail stores accurately.
· Teach associates how to operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment in a safe and
efficient manner.
· Assist in follow-up training and retraining of associates where needed.
· Assist Safety Specialist in implementation of monthly tips and recertify associates after incidents on
equipment.
· Monitor aisles and provide feedback/coaching to all associates on techniques.
· Collaborate with supervision to identify training needs and opportunities for process improvement.
· Provide support to production as needed or when training schedules decrease.
· Role models following all policies and procedures.
Ability to operate a pallet jack and lift.

· Ability to reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to and including 80 lbs. repetitively
· Ability to lift 90% floor to shoulder
· Ability to communicate in verbal and written correspondence.
· Ability to work a variety of work shifts and schedules (length, time, weekends, holidays)
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time
· Willingness to be trained in a variety of positions, demonstrating multi-skill capabilities.
· Able to use personal computer for data entry and research purposes
· Highly motivated self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize
multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to wear a headset to support voice selection for all areas of warehouse selection
· Ability to work in a –5 degree to 90+ degree Fahrenheit environment (temperature varies within each
department) for extended periods of time
· Ability to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
Available schedules:
1st Shift Tuesday - Friday 6am -4:30pm
2nd Shift Tuesday - Friday 7pm - 5:30am
