Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Key job responsibilities
- Set up and operate coordinate measuring machines.
- Perform first article, in-process, final and receiving inspections.
- Provide feedback to machinists and engineers with dimensional data.
- Document, track and complete discrepancy reports.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M standard.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluent in the use of precision hand tools, gauges, optical comparator, and surface plate work.
- Experience inspecting tight-tolerance, high-value components.
- Basic machining knowledge.
- Outside processing knowledge (heat treat, plating, coating, EDM, grinding, etc.)
Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $42/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A day in the life
The successful candidate will have experience inspecting tight-tolerance aerospace components. The desired candidate will have experience in a fast-paced machining environment.
The weekend second position will be Monday - Thursday 10 hours shift. 12-10pm
About the team
The Kuiper machine shop provides development fabrication capabilities as well as production machining. These operations occur in our Redmond facilities.
