As a Systems Development Engineer on the Continuous Infrastructure Automation Onboardings (CIAO) team, you'll be at the forefront of revolutionizing how Amazon's global Operations network is accessed and configured. Our team is building next-generation infrastructure automation tools that reduce network onboarding time from weeks to minutes, enabling rapid innovation across Amazon's worldwide Operations facilities. You'll have the opportunity to work on Network Connectivity Controls (NC2), our greenfield platform that's reimagining network segmentation through "paved paths" and automated security policies. This initiative combines network onboarding as code principles with enterprise-scale automation to deliver self-service network provisioning capabilities.
In this role, you'll architect and develop solutions that directly impact Amazon's operational efficiency, working with modern technologies including CDK, TypeScript, and cloud-native services. You'll collaborate with teams across Amazon Operations to build intuitive APIs and UI experiences that abstract complex networking concepts into simple, secure interfaces. Our team values innovation and customer obsession - we're looking for engineers who can help us achieve our vision of same-day, frictionless network onboarding while maintaining the highest security standards. This is an excellent opportunity to work on greenfield projects that are transforming how Amazon's vast operational network infrastructure is managed and secured.
