Position Responsibilities:
Own the design, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and delivery of mid to large-scale software applications, systems, platforms, and services that impact Amazon using modern technologies such as Java, Python, C++, and React. Provide technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle for distributed software systems. Facilitate a collaborative and high-velocity environment through defining and managing a productive SDLC. Develop a team of engineers, provide mentoring, and manage resource allocation Identify success metrics for your team and utilize those metrics to drive team growth. Participate in design reviews with engineers, and drive feedback on best-practices and potential risks. Participate in strategic planning to achieve technical and business objectives and define technical direction, lead tactical month-on-month planning for team delivery.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered, or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or a related occupation. Must have one year of experience in the following skills: (1) providing mentorship to software engineering peers, participating in roadmap/planning reviews; and (2) developing reliable, efficient full-stack services using an OOO language (Java, Python, or C++) and modern web framework (Javascript, Typescript, or React).
