Export Control Requirement:

Key job responsibilities
You will be responsible for the development of hardware and systems for optical (laser) communications between satellites.
• You will be involved in design, prototyping, and characterization of hardware to support high speed inter-satellite communication links (ISLs).
• You will work with vendors to qualify commercial, off-the-shelf components while driving development of custom components where needed to achieve low-cost, light-weight, and reliable systems that meet the performance requirements in space.
• You will lead the effort to support design verification and qualification testing.
• You will be working with stakeholders to trouble shooting resolve issues and deliver ISL links.
• You will be analyzing large volume data to identify gaps/risks and improve the design.
You will tackle challenging, novel situations every day and have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams at Amazon in different locations. You should be comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity and relish the idea of solving problems that haven't been solved at scale before.
