We are looking for a skilled, resourceful, and collaborative Senior Process Engineer to join our team in Bedford, NH. The Senior Process Engineer will work closely with a team of engineers supporting gaseous energy projects. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position, with opportunities to be challenged, contribute to project outcomes, interact routinely with project Principals and clients, and grow professionally.

Essential Functions – What You Will Do
- Support process design and documentation of projects in the gaseous energy sector, focusing on natural gas, LNG, RNG, CNG, propane-air, hydrogen facilities, and metering/regulating stations.
- Develop and optimize process designs including process flow diagrams (PFDs), heat and material balances (HMBs), piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and process simulation modeling.
- Lead or support hazard identification (HAZID), process hazard analysis (PHA), and hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies as part of the design process.
- Size process equipment (heat exchangers, boilers, pumps, compressors) and prepare written specifications for equipment and materials.
- Develop process control narratives (PCNs), cause and effect (C&E) matrices, and comprehensive technical reports.
- Prepare plant documentation including operating & maintenance procedures, purging procedures, as-built drawings, and risk management plans.
- Conduct site visits to utility and industrial client facilities to review existing processes, piping, and equipment layouts.
- Develop training documentation and conduct training sessions to support clients’ operations and maintenance needs.
- Provide operations and commissioning support and consulting, including on-site support when required.
- Mentor junior staff to develop their technical skills and instill good consulting practices to support their growth in the firm.

Competencies – What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (Energy Focus) with 6-10 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain within one year, required.
- Experience with natural gas systems, propane-air, hydrogen systems, and process instrumentation and controls.
- Strong background in risk management, process safety, and operations/commissioning procedures including on-site experience.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Client-service orientation with ability to anticipate needs and deliver exceptional results.
Physical Requirements
- Requires sitting, walking and, at times, bending and prolonged standing.
- Must be able to visit project sites and climb ladders and stairs as required.
- The work requires both indoor and outdoor activity in temperatures ranging from moderate to extreme cold or hot and other weather conditions.
- Must be able to wear and work in personal protective equipment as required.
- Substantial repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers is required.
- Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
